A foundation based in Guiuan, Eastern Samar, Philippines called Guiuan Development Foundation, Inc.(GDFI) opened it’s Children’s Learning Resource Centre in April. Team Earth entrusted one (1) unit projector to the foundation for educational purposes.
The Children’s Learning Resource Centre is located in Salcedo, Eastern Samar. The main purpose of the centre is to serve as a learning space for children, to teach them how to care for the environment and its natural resources. They would also be taught other learning opportunities whilst observing the safety protocols.
The centre officially started operating in mid April. The foundation facilitates the presentation of environmental films twice a week. The projector serves as a tool for learning.
The centre also needs additional educational materials such as books, board games, and other learning materials.
